Freddie has worked with numerous world-acclaimed artists including Sergio Mendes, Flora Purim, Bobby McFerrin, Madonna, Al Jarreau and Prince. He is a former and founding member of the band Earth, Wind & Fire.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ravel’s Colombian and Eastern European heritage opened him up to the exploration of a wide range of peoples and traditions. His interest in other cultures fully developed through extensive world travel.
